Oct. 29 is Nebraska's Pheasant Season Opener

The weather is good, pheasant and quail numbers are up and the excitement is building, reports the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Nebraska's pheasant season opens Oct. 29.
"Make sure you are ready for a great opening day experience. If you haven't already done so, you can buy your permit on our website. We also offer mobile permits for those who are in the field or on the go," the Commission said.
Pheasants Forever recently named Nebraska one of the top states in the nation for pheasant hunting. With many places to hunt, a long season and affordable permits, it's easy to get in the field and enjoy the outdoors. And be sure to invite younger friends and
family members and introduce them to the sport you love.
