Winter No Till Conference Set for March 17 in Ord

Mark Sintek, resource conservationist with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Ord announces that there will be a Winter No Till Conference held March 17 at the Veterans Club
in Ord, Neb.
The conference is free and open to all with a free lunch provided & prepared by the Ord FFA . You do not have to be a farmer to attend this event. The conference will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If you can't attend the whole day, stop in or leave when needed. Speakers include Dr. Ray Ward - Using carbon as a nutrient. Paul Jasa - uniformity & how you get it in adjusting your planter. Kathy Buttle
- will demonstrate how erosion starts & how it's stopped using a rainfall simulator. If you've never seen this rainfall simulator you are in for a treat. Mark Watson - No Till & water savings. Keith Burns -
Cover crops & forage cocktails.
Case IH & John Deere will have planters on site. Several area businesses will have booths set up providing info about their products. People or businesses interested in sponsoring part of this event call
