Partnership to Provide Safety Leadership Education

The National Safety Council, Nebraska announced a new partnership with the University of Nebraska at Omaha to offer the Certificate in Safety Leadership program. The new certificate program will focus on building strong leaders, reducing risk, best practices, and performance measurements in the safety and health field.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the Nebraska Business Development Center to offer the Certificate in Safety Leadership," said Beverly Reicks, president and CEO, National Safety Council, Nebraska. "A safety leader is not just someone whose title includes the word safety. A leader influences behavior -- a safety leader has a visible commitment to each employee's safety. This new partnership and the expansion of our safety consultant team, represents our commitment to deliver the highest level of education and safety services across Nebraska."

The program consists of nine days of interactive learning and sharing over nine months. It is recommended for safety professionals from all industries wanting to improve their leadership skills, employees involved in safety interested in furthering their safety credentials, and safety veterans wanting to improve their influence and persuasion skills.
