I-29 Moo University Lender Info Webinar Dec. 20

The I-29 Moo University, of which SDSU Extension is a collaborating partner, is hosting a webinar, Improving Conversations With Your Lender Dec. 20.

The Improving Conversations With Your Lender webinar will focus on preparing the information that lenders need. "This webinar will provide viewers with an outline and explanation of banking benchmarks and financial documents that lenders need to evaluate loans," said Tracey Erickson, SDSU Extension Dairy Field Specialist.

The webinar is scheduled for 60 minutes beginning at 11 a.m. (CDT) and will include time for questions.

The program will focus on improving enterprise expense breakdowns, banking benchmarks, while gaining a better understanding of documents your lender needs and identifying follow-up information that is available.

SDSU Extension Livestock Business Management Field Specialist, Heather Gessner will present the information.

Gessner grew up on a diversified operation raising cattle and hogs, as well as corn, soybeans, oats and alfalfa. Since joining SDSU Extension in 2001, she has earned a national reputation for providing farmers and ranchers with enterprise analysis, budget spreadsheets, marketing education, as well as estate and transition planning, education and assistance.

The I-29 Moo University is a consortium of Extension Dairy Specialists from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota as well as Dairy Producer Association representatives from those states.

In its 13th year, the consortium provides resources and education to enhance a sustainable dairy community along the I-29 corridor by focusing on: best management practices, utilization of research-based expertise and resources, and ag-vocating the benefits of a vibrant dairy community.
