Iowa Farmland Auction Fetches $26,000 Per Acre

The land market continues to show strength in Iowa.
The Lyon County sale of $39,750/acre is an active quarry and is not considered an ag land sale.
Top honors go to Johnson County with two sales at an October 6 auction, one at $26,000/acre which included a tract for development, and one at $21,000/acre which was purchased to farm.
There was said to be over 40 registered bidders at this auction.
